Favorite Movies Of 2010

Hello again!

Well... When I first thought about this Top 5 feature I never imagined it would get so hard to pick my favorite 5 things, moments etc of 2010. It's been a long year, with lots of events that brought me joy - or on the contrary. I've done a lot of thinking these days... Spending time in my hometown always gets me into the 'meditation-mode". :)) All in all, it's been a good year, with a lot of changes. Initially I also wanted to write about favorite moments, inside jokes, parties but I figured they wouldn't make much sense here - without some details. I'll share them with my close friends though. :))

Ok, enough with the touchy-feely stuff. And because I was trying to find a good movie to watch with my sister tonight - I had enough of Christmas movies - I thought today I'd post my Top 5 Favorite Movies of 2010. This time it was impossible to stick to 5. I did try to stay under 10 though. :))

My favorite movies of 2010 (again, in no particular order):

Did you see them too? What did you think? What did I miss? :D

Till next time...

Top 5 Sundays

Hello hello!:)

I hope you're all enjoying the holidays!

I, for one, have spent the last few days with my wonderful friends and my noisy, but lovely family (I'm so lucky to have them!) And tonight I wanted to stay home and relax... So I switched to reading/writing mode. :)) And even if inspiration is failing me at the moment, thanks to Larissa I did find something to post today. :P

Every Sunday, she will post a TOP 5 list on her blog (visit her for details about the feature). I really liked the theme for today:  Best Book Covers of 2010. :D It was fun, but a little hard for me to pick only 5 favorite covers. But  here they are (in no particular order):

 3. Silver Borne (Mercedes Thompson #5) by Patricia Briggs (I haven't read it yet, but it is on my to-read list... And I sooo love the cover!)

(I have this series on my wish list, I can't wait to read it! And all the covers are so adorable - this is my fav one)

 5. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (The cover actually convinced me to buy the book!)

That's about it. OMG, 2010 is really coming to an end, isn't it? It feels like someone pushed the fast-forward button. Oh well... I still hope I will finish The Vampire Academy series these days and that I'll be back here to post my top 5 movies, TV shows etc... :P

You all have a wonderful time!

Top 5

Hey! ♥

Ok, I have no doubt: holidays are coming! Which means the year is almost over - and what a year it has been! (yeah, I shouldn't be ungrateful) It's time to look back and draw the conclusions. But I'm not really in the mood to analyze, to think hard, to ponder anything. Or not yet - it would be a way too long post anyway!:)

So... I'll keep it simple. I'll make a top 5 of my favorite things of 2010. Things that brought me joy, that I enjoyed at the moment or that I will remember for a long time; things I shared with people I care about or things I kept just for myself; things that somehow taught me a lesson etc. So... to get it over with and to make one of my friends to roll her eyes again, I'll start with the books. :D I'll continue with music, TV shows, movies, parties, photographies, moments etc.

Here goes my Top 5 Books Read in 2010 :

1.Black Magic Sanction (The Hollows, #7, Kim Harrison - my fav series :D)

2. Paranormalcy, (Paranormalcy, #1, Kiersten White - uber fun)

3.The Gargoyle, (Andrew Davidson - a must read)

4.Twice Bitten  ( Chicagoland Vampires, #3 - Chloe Neill)

5.Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) Cassandra Clare

There are a lot of books that came out this year that I really wanted to read and that probably would have been on that list, but I didn't have enough time to read them... :( I'll try to catch up ASAP, because 2011 has  promised a lot of fantabulous books too. ;)

What do you think?
Fell free to add your own fav books. ;)

Happy reading, GREAT contest & stuff

Hello!...

Great. I'm doing it again. Staying up late in the night reading or writing, that is. So I guess it's quite normal to fall behind with work and things on my daily to-do list since I sleep 5 hours/night and I get tired quickly. Sometimes I wish there were more than 24 hours/day. Oh well... I can't wait for the holidays! So much free time! *dreamy sigh* I have books and reviews to catch up with...

Speaking of which, I was reading Kimberly Derting's  (fab author of The Body Finder and Desires of the Dead - coming out in Feb 2011) blog today and ... guess what? She's doing a hell of a giveaway!*drools* I had to share it with you, my bookaholic friends! :D

The rules are easy, and you can win... *drum roll*
  •  A signed ARC of DESIRES OF THE DEAD, a signed copy of THE BODY FINDER, and a complete Desires of the Dead swag pack (including a signed DotD poster, bookmarks, stickers, rubber bracelets, and buttons).

  • A signed copy of THE BODY FINDER, an ARC of UNEARTHLY, and a complete DotD swag pack.

  • An ARC of THROUGH HER EYES, a $15 gift card to the online bookseller of your choice, and a complete DotD swag pack.
Seriously, how cool is that?:D

The contest is open internationally and runs through December 31st. Now go to Kimberley Derting's blog to enter! Good luck! ;)

Holidays are coming...!

Hey guys!

I finally dressed up my blog for the upcoming holidays. What do you think? :D

***

It's so cold outside... And it's snowing in Bucharest - this time it's for real! I'm not very happy about it, because traffic's became hellarious and I still have a lot of things to do. I'm not even done with my holidays shopping. Oh, so much to do, so little time...
Not to mention that my house is a mess. Literally. Apparently it takes longer than we thought for the workers to finish up everything *sigh* - In case you were wondering, I'm renovating my apartment (bad timing, I know!), I complained a lot about it on twitter.) I need a vacation!

All in all, I'm slowly getting into the Christmas spirit. Though I've got a busy schedule these days, I won't let that ruin my mood!

How about you? are you ready for Christmas?:D
